Baked Cheese Cake

Made this for our Thanksgiving dinner we had at church on Sunday. It was pretty good if you like cheesecake. So here is the recipe if you would like to try. Chuck's favorite dessert is cheesecake so he definitely enjoyed it.

Baked Cheese Cake
Crust:
1-1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
5 T. melted butter
1 T. white sugar
Filling:
3- 8 oz pkgs. cream cheese
5 eggs
1 c. sugar
1-1/2 tsp.vanilla
Topping:
3 c. sour cream
1/2 c. sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix cracker crumbs, butter and sugar and put in 9 x 13" cake pan. Soften cream cheese to room temperature and put in large mixer bowl. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, with a wooden spoon. Slowly stir in 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla and 1 cup sugar; mix very well. Pour into crumb crust and bake in slow oven 300 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from oven.
Topping: Combine sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Spread on cheese cake and let set 3 minutes. Put back into oven and turn temperature up to 350 degrees. Bake 5 minutes. Chill for several hours or overnight. Can be served plain or put canned pie filling on top. Serve cold.
