We had soccer practice again tonight. We have a great group of kids this year. So far out of our 3 games we are undefeated. Go Broncos!

OFF TO LOUISIANA

Well the boys are off again. They left last weekend to help with the hurricanes. The 1074th unit has been back almost a year since there last deployment to Iraq. This time going to much saver place but still need our prayers. Here are pictures of the cabin in Wyoming Chuck and I went to after his homecoming last Oct. for some down time. It was very peaceful and time alone we really needed. Also is picture of us at his homecoming celebration.

My daughter loves to play volleyball. Looks like she can play with or without a net. She's not picky.

I have heard of "choking game" before on talk shows and my heart went out to the families who have lost children playing this game. I just didn't realize that kids in my sons age group are experimenting with it. My son is in fourth grade and just this past week on August 20th he lost a classmate in his class from this "choking game" Wow what a eye opener. 9 years old and dead from a game that is going around the world as being a great high for our children. Having this so close to home I have been forced to talk to my kids about the seriousness of this game and that the only outcome of experimenting with it is eventually death. I pray that they will learn from this experience and come to me or another adult with questions. It is real and tried to explain to my son that the empty desk in his room now is proof that this game is serious and nothing to mess with!
