Memories from a photo ten years ago.....

I came across this picture today when I was going through things.
(I'm starting to go through things getting ready for my sons high school graduation in May)
This picture feels like it was just yesterday. It was when my husband was in Iraq for 15 months and the kids and I where tackling life back home.
This night we were invited over to one of my friends house for dinner. We laughed ALOT!
We played a lot. One of the things Brady loved when his dad was gone is when I dropped everything and said "hey buddy, you want to go catch a football" His eyes would get big and he'd say with an excited voice "let me go get my football, mom" We'd spend hours in the yard making touchdown passes (of course cause I have a pretty good arm :) ) Brooke would join in too trying to catch and stop her brother. We'd even do the famous touchdown dance.
It's so funny how a picture takes you back to those days and what was going on in life. This was a fun time even though we were going through some stressful situations.

Sutherland's Prom 2016

Brooke had to have one with her little brother!

Brooke attended Sutherland's prom last night and it rained, and rained , and rained.....and is still raining... But went well overall.

Her boyfriend is a senior this year and will be off to Marine life soon while Brooke will be starting her second year in college. A few pictures from the night! No  outdoor ones :(

Spaghetti.....WHY NOT?

Lizzy  (Brady's girlfriend) traveled with us over basketball season a lot.
After one of his out of town games we stopped in a nice little restaurant for a huge plate of  Spaghetti. Which was good to fill our bellies as it was a long trip home in a blizzard that night.

Is it already almost March?

I ran across this photo from this past Christmas and realized it's already almost March.
Crazy that it goes so fast. Brady just finished up Basketball season and Brooke is still working hard and doing the college thing.

~it started in preschool

Bryce & Brady
These two have been friends since preschool!!!  Sadly about 4 years ago we moved and they do not hang out as much they only reunite during sports. Bryce's mom tagged me in this picture on Facebook and I love it. The two had to tip off against each other during last weeks game in Ogallala. Brady now wears the blue uniform. I'd say they both can jump now too. It was good getting to talk to Bryce after the game and good for Brady to see all his friends again.
