the lake and the weekend....
and this year....well we have more and more water and the other day i saw boats cruising around in it. which means its getting deeper and deeper and soon my jet ski will be able to coast through the waters here. when i first moved here we use to camp around this sign "leave only your footprints please" and you use to be able to swim to this sign, climb on it, and jump off into the cool water. so as you can see we are inching our way to it again. oh boy, oh boy can't wait!
brooke last year getting ready to tube.
which i go pick up b and b at church camp tomorrow and they
don't know that their cousins are coming to do some more of this.
they will be excited. tired but excited.
brooke and cousin on jet ski last summer.
and this is where you will find us this weekend.
Hope everyone has a happy one!
Happy Father's Day to all you dads.
P.S I'll be missing mine.

ashley....young, talented.
chuck's niece ashley is very good behind the camera. i have been very impressed with some of her work. i'm actually kind of jealous that i can't take pictures like her or see the things she can. great ideas and young mother of two gorgeous kids, i believe she could do really well for her family in making this a career.
just starting her shop on Etsy...check it out.

summer pool days...
i grew up going to the pool all the time with my friends. around 1:00p.m when the pool opened i was in line waiting to be one of the first few kids to jump into the ice cold waters. (funny as a mom the water seems so much colder than when we were kids. or maybe being a kid we just didn't care) the pools were i grew up in gillette, wyo were just as packed as in the photo here. it was so much fun. alot of things have change from when we were growing up but one thing still has stayed the same and that is that my kiddos still wait in line for the pool here in Nebraska to open the doors at 1:00 with all their friends. they still have the rest periods where the whistles blow and you must sit our for 15 minutes to give the lifeguards a breather as well as the kids a break. i use to hate getting out of that water for those rest periods but as a mother i love them for my kids.
and for this weekend when we are not pool side we will be headed to grant and oshkosh for more softball and baseball games.
Happy weekend!
