# 18

Brady mainly plays center on game day. And he loves it.
I didn't know how I would react about him playing football when he became of age, but I actually have enjoyed watching him. Still little scared that my baby may get injured on the field but watching him play you can tell he absolutely loves the game.

Homecoming in Lincoln....

So went to Lincoln this weekend for the Nebraska husker football homecoming game and had a couple hours to blow at the zoo. Lincoln zoo is not very big at all compared to Omaha zoo which we went to in April, but we still had a good time.

After practice

Brady walking home from football practice half undressed already. He likes to take off his equipment just as fast as he likes to put it on....

Potato Bundles...yum

Made these last night and they were really, really, good.....and easy! We like easy.

Potato Bundles

Russet potatoes, cut into chunks
Yellow or white onion, cut into chunks
Butter (regular, salted)
Heavy cream
Kosher salt
Paprika
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons minced parsley

Pile potatoes and onions on a square of foil. Add 2 tablespoons butter, splash on some cream, then sprinkle on salt, paprika, and black pepper. Wrap bundles tightly and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until extremely tender.

Serve foil bundles right on the plate!

We should be scared for our country....

Thought I'd share this. It was written by a judge that was sued over refusing to remove the Ten Commandments. This says it all....

America the beautiful,Or so you used to be.Land of the Pilgrims' pride;I'm glad they'll never see...Babies piled in dumpsters,Abortion on demand,Oh, sweet land of liberty;Your house is on the sand. Our children wander aimlesslyPoisoned by cocaineChoosing to indulge their lusts,When God has said abstainFrom sea to shining sea,Our Nation turns awayFrom the teaching of God's loveAnd a need to always prayWe've kept God in ourTemples , how callous we have grown. When earth is but His footstool,And Heaven is His throne. We've voted in a governmentthat's rotting at the core,Appointing Godless Judges;Who throw reason out the door,Too soft to place a killerIn a well deserved tomb,But brave enough to kill a babyBefore he leaves the womb. You think that God's notAngry, that our land's a moral slum? How much longer will He waitBefore His judgment comes? How are we to face our God,From Whom we cannot hide? What then is left for us to do,But stem this evil tide?If we who are His children,Will humbly turn and pray;Seek His holy faceAnd mend our evil way:Then God will hear from Heaven; And forgive us of our sins,He'll heal our sickly landAnd those who live within. But, America the Beautiful,If you don't - then you will see,A sad but Holy GodWithdraw His hand from Thee..~~Judge Roy Moore~~

Footballs here and so is the weather........

Brady starts football. Am I OK with that??......no. But he loves the sport. I worry myself because sometimes I feel the urge to run on the field and sack the boy who tackled my little boy....Hopefully I grow out of that. Luckily my son is one of the bigger boys so being sacked might not hurt him as much.
